Happy Halloween Blog Post 8

Today, Madison and I almost finished our Happy Halloween Project in Maya. By tomorrow, we should have the animation done and rendering, then after that add the sounds, and that’s it! We’ve had quite a few troubles, but we are slowly solving and overcoming them, and hopefully this won’t turn out terrible after we finish rendering everything.

Today, we almost finished our Happy Halloween Project in Maya. Right now, we just got the fog in, and we started rendering part of the animation. We still don’t have the full animation done, and we might have to turn this in late and go into Friday, but luckily the modelling part of the animation is complete. Now all we need, is to finish the rest of the animation, render it, and add the sounds.

Today, we were able to get even more done on our Happy Halloween project! We’re getting close to finishing, but due to our short time given to work on the animation, we might have to cut back a few things, which will make the animation look a lot worse, unfortunately. So far what we do have, is an almost complete animation and models, and we also need to get the fog in, which is what I’m gonna be primarily focusing on today, and then finally, the sounds.

Today, Madison and I got more work done on our Happy Halloween assignment. The deadline is close, and so are we to finishing. So far, we still need to get the character models in, better lighting, and the finished animation. Both Me and Madison are having issues in both of what we are doing. I’m having some issues with lighting, while Madison’s rigging is getting screwed. Luckily, both issues are being slowly resolved.

Happy Halloween Blog Post 4: Animation Starting

Today, we were able to get a lot done with the Happy Halloween Project in Maya. We were able to start getting the camera to move a bit, as well as getting all the trees and current props inside the main project. We’ve decided to change the animation from 30 seconds to 40+ in order to better get the slow moving feel that we are looking for. While I was working on getting the camera and props ready, my partner Madison was working on the two people models that we need in order to complete this assignment.

Happy Halloween Blog Post 3: More Project Progress

Today, I got the arrow done, lighting started, and started working on the Dead End sign in Maya. In our project, we are planning to have a guy walking through a dark forest, before nearly being shot by an arrow (we had to change it from shot to nearly being shot). In this, he’ll walk past a dead end sign when he first enters, which is why I’m currently mapping this sign.

Happy Halloween Blog Post 1: Asset List

Partner Asset List

Today, I was able to complete the Asset List for the Happy Halloween Project. So far on this assignment, Madison and I haven’t gotten too much done yet (mostly because we just started, and because she wasn’t here today). What we have done so far is that we got the Asset List and Storyboards done (but Madison has the Storyboards so I can’t submit them). We haven’t gotten work on the animation itself yet, only a test project that shows a very, VERY basic example of what we want to have in our final product.

Maya 2018 tutorial : Cameras, lenses, angles, Depth of Field and more

Today, I finished the Maya 2018 tutorial for Camera DOF in Maya. The tutorial wasn’t the hardest thing in the world, but required some innovation due to the tutorial using a different renderer. In the end, I was still able to get it done, and the outcome wasn’t half bad, so I’m happy about that.
