Today, I watched and followed the tutorial for the Camera Motion and Depth of Field for Maya. The tutorial itself wasn’t that difficult, the only issue I had with it is that it took an overly long time to get to the point, but that wasn’t too much of an issue in the long run. I do like the outcome of the camera spinning around a focused object in the middle.
Quick and Easy Camera Shake in Maya

Today, I worked on the Quick and Easy Camera Shake tutorial in Maya. This was another easy camera tutorial, this time showing us how to make a first person camera look a bit more realistic while it’s moving. I didn’t struggle at all on doing the tutorial itself, but messing around with the graph editor for the first time by myself was a bit wonky.
Maya Attaching Camera to Motion Path

Today, I worked on and completed the Attaching Camera to Motion Path tutorial in Maya. This tutorial has probably been the shortest one yet, only having a couple steps. All I did was attach a camera to a Motion Path and I was done! The process was easy, and I’m happy with the outcome of the camera spinning, so that all went well.
How to Animate with the Graph Editor: 2

Today, I finished the tutorial on animating using the graph editor in Maya. The tutorial ended up working out really well in my favor, so that’s super fortunate, and I luckily didn’t have any issues either. I was able to learn quite a bit about Maya using this tutorial, and the graph editor Isn’t as confusing as I thought it was anymore.
How to Animate with the Graph Editor: 1

Today, I started the short tutorial on how to animate with the graph editor. This tutorial is longer than the other short ones we’ve done, so it might take a day to fully complete. So far, I’ve only had two issues, one was not knowing a control, and the other was Maya being funny, but other than that, everything went well. I really like this tutorial so far, since the graph editor is something I don’t really know how to use, so learning it is super helpful!
Create Glass Using Arnold’s aiStandardSurface in Maya 2018

Today, I used a tutorial to learn how to make glass in Maya using Arnold. This was yet another pretty short tutorial that showed us how to do one simple thing, so I went through it pretty quickly. In regards to problems, I didn’t have any, which is very fortunate. I really like how the glass came out, even though it was pretty simple, but glass effects are pretty fascinating to me, so what do I care.
Advanced 3D in Maya – Modeling Liquid in a Glass Bowl

Today, I worked on adding a bowl of milk into Maya. The tutorial wasn’t that hard, and was actually kinda fun, and I really like the outcome! I didn’t have any issues during this tutorial, and didn’t struggle at all, so I’m lucky for that. The hardest part of the tutorial was probably modelling the bowl, only because it took the longest to do.
3 Point Lighting in Maya with Arnold

Today, I worked on 3 Point Lighting using Maya. This was another easy lighting tutorial, and probably my last one, but still very useful either way. In this tutorial, I was able to use three different lights in order to create my own lit image. I luckily didn’t have any issues during this tutorial, other than Maya crashing twice, and the outcome looks really good, and will be definitely something I use n the future!
Lighting in Arnold for Maya | Lighting Tutorial

Today, I worked on yet another short lighting tutorial in Maya. This tutorial showed me how to add blockers in front of objects to better control my lights. This tutorial was a bit difficult for me, due to how adjusting all the lights went, but still came out good. I luckily didn’t have any issues, unlike the last tutorial, and this one didn’t take too long either.
How to Do Arnold Lighting and Rendering in Maya | For Beginners

Today I worked on the Lighting with Blur tutorial video for Maya. This was a rather simple tutorial, where it showed me how to set up a simple render that blurs object farther way from the camera. This wasn’t the hardest thing in the world, but still very helpful in helping me understand how to use the option in the first place.
