Hammer UV Coloring: 2

Today, I worked more on texturing the Hammer and Goggles. What I was able to get done today, was fully texture the Goggles, as well as start texturing the Hammer. I’m enjoying how tis is going so far, since I haven’t had any issues. Just like with other texturing assignments, my favorite thing about this so far is the result of the texturing, which even if it looks a little off, it still looks good with some sort of texture.

Hammer UV Coloring: 1

Today, I started work on texturing the UVs for the Hammer and Goggles. So far, I only have the inside textures for the Goggles done,w hich means texturing this might take a little longer than I expect. So far, I’m enjoying this. After I figured out how to UV Map the Goggles, everything got a lot easier.

Hammer UV: Final

Today, I was able to finish the rest of the Hammer and Goggles UV Mapping. It was pretty fun, and interesting on the different strategies used to unfold and UV Map different objects that have different shapes! What I did is that I followed the tutorial as closely as possible until I was able to get a similar final result. I’m happy with the outcome, the only problem I had were the goggles, which were slightly different than the ones seen in the tutorial, so I had to get creative, and figure out how to (kinda) Map them myself. While the assignment was a little frustrating, I was able to complete it pretty well, and fairly quickly. The one thing I would have changed throughout the assignment would’ve been the googles, due to how weird they were to work with.

Hammer UV: 1

Today I started to work on UV Mapping a Hammer in Maya. So far, I’ve gotten the mapping done for the head of the hammer, but not yet the handle, googles, or extra details. Luckily for me, I’m actually a pretty decent fan of UV Mapping, so this assignment is pretty fun for me! Luckily, I haven’t had any issues so far, so everything is going good so far!

Mini Man 2: 7

Today, I was able to rig even more on my Mini Man. So far I’ve gotten the legs completely finished, and now I’m starting on the Spinal area. The only problem I’ve had with this so far is the spine not exactly being the most straight, but luckily it doesn’t affect much. The other little problem I had was with adding a bit too many IK handles, but luckily I was able to sort that too.

Mini Man 2: 5

Today, I was able to finish modelling my Mini Man 2. I was able to finish his fingers as well as polish him up and smooth him. Tomorrow, I will try to start rigging the Mini Man, starting with his legs. What I’ve really liked about this so far is just seeing it all come together. Seeing my own little guy, and eventually seeing him move is just fascinating to me. The only problem I have is just the stress I get about what I’m going to do the couples of hours before class, but luckily that usually goes away once I enter.

Mini Man 2: 4

Today, I continued to work on my Mini Man. Right now, I have his head, legs, body and arms finished, now all I have to do is finish the fingers on the hand, do some touch-ups, and I’ll be good! So far, te only big issue I’ve had is trying to bridge the fingers, which is what I’m working on right now. Luckily for me, they are only getting easier from here.
