Maya Tutorial 2020: 7

Today, I worked more on the Maya 2020 Tutorial. I did a lot when it comes to texturing and UV Mapping today, and I’m quite proud of it. First we got some materials on different objects, such as The Candles, candle holders, Glass, and liquids. After that, we applied textures to the walls and floors, which turned out really cool. The only problem I encountered during all of this was learning that my whole plane is swapped on the wrong axis, but luckily, it wasn’t too much of a problem.

Today, I finished up more things for my Desk. What I did, was I added a map with torns and tears. The map was really cool to see unfold, being able to see it slowly come to life. Another thing I did, was creating 3 Books from just 1 Cube. That looked really hard, but actually turned out to be really simple, and really cool with it’s outcome. The last thing we did, was that we added out own unique object to the desk. The thing I added, was a funny little snowman, because funny.

Maya Tutorial 2020: 5

Today, I worked more on the Maya 2020 Tutorial! What I did wasn’t much, since I did other stuff beforehand, but it still went well! What I completed, was the candle holder, adding it to the scene and putting the candle on top. I did have a Topology issue however. The issue was the Vertexes being doubled. How this happened, I still don’t know, but it was quickly resolved, and I was able to finish the rest of the video (27)!

Mesh Lighting Complete

Today. I was able to complete the Two Mesh Lighting Tutorials, although with some help. The tutorials showed me how to make mesh lights, and how to use hypershades with them as well! While trying to do them in the first tutorial, I had a problem with the Mesh not actually appearing, which made the renderer have absolutely nothing in it. Luckily, I got some help to fix that, and it was the only problem I had while doing the tutorials. They were super cool at the end, looking so great with the beautiful lights!

Arnold Tutorials 1

Today we started practicing and learning Arnold Shaders. So far, we haven’t started making anything ourselves, we have just began learning about the many things you can do with it. What I love the most so far is how beautiful it looks. When rendering an object, it looks amazing! What I don’t like however, is that the guy in the tutorials is telling us what to do, but not how to find the tools to do it, which is very annoying.

Fixing Problems with Edge Loops

Today, we worked on Fixing Edge Loops. It was pretty difficult to complete this, but I was able to. What we did was go through each shape and fix any problems that were in them. The last few shapes were very difficult, since it was hard to find some of the small little errors in the shapes. It was fun however to find the little errors and fix them. Finding them were difficult, but fun, and offered a nice challenge.

Maya 2020 Tutorial: 3

Today, we worked more on the Maya 2020 Tutorial. What I was able to do today, added a lot of great detail to my project! First, we finished the window and added the rest of the frame. After that. we finished up the table, bringing it above the ground and adding detail. Finally, we added a Flask and put it up on the table. This was really cool to me, since I love seeing cool little details in things, and seeing all the fun designs!

Maya 2020 Tutorial: 2

Today we continued more on the 2020 tutorial. So far, it is looking great! To this point, we have gotten the top of the table, and the frame of the room done. Today, we made a basic leg for the table. This leg will be used later for making the lower half of the table. We also were able to make a hold in the wall for the window, which will be finished next time. The only problem I had was not knowing how to add a object to an already existing layer, but that was quickly solved.
